butterfly gardens

during christmas break, we took the kids to the butterfly gardens at the museum of natural science. the kids loved it. evan kept trying to reach up and grab the butterflies with his little hands. while taking a photo, a beautiful orange butterfly landed on my hand and stayed there long enough for the girls to get a close-up view. here's a few pictures from the afternoon.

elayna got to hold a huge walking stick bug!

Those are pretty awesome photos! You could be a National Geographic photographer. Especially love the one of Evan reaching for the butterfly and Dan enjoying the moment.

Those are great pictures. We love going to the butterfly house every time we visit my folks. It never gets old for the kids to have a zillion butterflies fluttering around them.
