This is a fantastic book about a herd of rogue elephants taken in by South African conservationist Lawrence Anthony. It's a wonderfully touching story about his love and deep connection with these animals. I really enjoyed this one.
My mom recommended this one to me and it is a must read. This book is the profound and emotional memoir of Paul Kalanithi, a 36 year old neurosurgeon who was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. There is much to be learned from this book. Highly recommend it!
This book is based on the true story of Hugh Glass, an American frontiersman in 1832, who was mauled by a grisly bear and left for dead. He crawls hundreds of miles across treacherous country to seek revenge. I really liked this one, but was somewhat disappointed by the abrupt ending.

I actually read this book quite a few months ago, but forgot to include it in my last recent reads. This book was recommended by my sister Emily, and I loved it. It takes place in WWII Nazi occupied France and tells the story of two sisters and their roles in the French Resistance. This story had me completely captivated from beginning to end. I highly recommend it.
