five.

for those of you who don't know, we are expecting baby number five at the beginning of october. we are excited, but also feeling a little overwhelmed. I had an ultrasound this week and the baby looks perfect!

we thought it would be fun to reveal the gender to the kids in a different way. i filled a gift bag with a colored stuffed animal and candy to match the gender of the baby. blue if it's a boy, pink if girl.

when they opened the bag, it had a lot of pink inside! yep, another girl! the girls are excited, especially avery. poor evan is still too young to realize that he is drastically outnumbered! he was just excited to eat the pink candy.
i am so happy to have another sweet princess in our family!

first beach trip of the summer...

last saturday we spent the day at the beach. it was a gorgeous day!! highs were in the low 80's and the water was actually cool! in another month it will feel like warm bath water

mother's day

i had such a wonderful mother's day. i was spoiled by dan and the girls with breakfast in bed, a bouquet of beautiful roses, and lots of cute homemade cards and gifts. then we spent the rest of the day with my family. my brother andy and his wife kaylynn were in town, along with both of my sisters. so nice to be with my mom and all the family on mother's day!
