...making me happy today :)

3 months

our little guy turned 3 months old last saturday! he is such a happy, sweet baby. we are trying to soak up every minute of him because we know how quickly they grow up.

so serious! he is normally such a smiley baby. but lately when he sees the camera he gets so serious.

this past weekend...

we drove up to san antonio to see my brother mark graduate from dental school. it was so fun to be there. i somehow forgot to bring my camera into the ceremony so i don't have a single picture. but here's a photo of the graduate in his announcement. way to go mark! we're so proud of you.

a little late...

but better late than never, right? i finally got around to making a little announcement for baby brother. this photo was when he was 1 month old. i don't know if i'll ever get around to mailing any out so i thought i would just post it on the blog

and absolutely gorgeous weather. this morning it was in the sixties and warmed up to 80 by afternoon. and no humidity! if only it could be this nice all summer.

mother's day weekend

this mother's day was so special for me because my baby boy was blessed at church. here's a few photos of him in his blessing outfit. the cap was a little too big for him so he didn't wear it during the blessing

the booties were made by his great-grandma.

for his mom's mother's day present, dan flew his mom out to be with us for the weekend. it was so special to have her there. and we were so happy that aunt grace and calvin wanted to fly down from utah and join us for the special day too! we had so much fun with them and miss them already. thank you to all the family that came!

i just can't get over how stinkin cute little calvin is! the girls had so much fun playing with their cousin outside, even though it was 90 degrees out! wish we lived closer.

i found these two little guys in my contact case this afternoon. that's what happens when i leave it within avery's reach. she had tiny little strips of toilet paper across them for their "covers"

this guy kept me up till 2am last night. he was so fussy and wouldn't go to sleep. it must have been because it was so hot in our house. our ac wasn't working and the temperature inside the house was 83! luckily the ac man was able to come this morning to fix it. i was starting to have flashbacks of hurricane ike with no ac!

2 months

evan is two months old today. he has been giving us lots of smiles lately (i still need to try and capture one on camera) and he makes cute little cooing noises. and he is still sleeping 6-7 hours through the night! poor little guy got all his shots today. he was not very happy.

so thankful...

...that my little kyla is back home and ok. we had a bit of a scare yesterday evening. kyla was jumping off her bed trying to jump onto her daddy's back and fell. she landed really hard on her head. a few hours later she was complaining about a bad headache then she started vomiting. she wouldn't stop throwing up so we took her to the hospital. they ran some scans and monitored her overnight. she did have a concussion but the scans showed no damage. thankfully, she is ok. she had so much fun in the hospital. she got this cute stuffed animal giraffe and got to make beaded necklaces and color and watch lots of cartoons. hopefully we won't be taking any more trips to the hospital any time soon!

egg hunt

we had a wonderful easter weekend filled with family, food and lots of fun! on saturday we had our annual easter egg hunt at grammy and grandpa's house. the kids had a blast and got so much candy

6 weeks...

the little bug is 6 weeks old and is just the sweetest baby boy. he is now sleeping 6 hours straight through the night, which is so nice for me! it's amazing what a little bit of sleep can do for you!

tooth fairy

kyla lost her first tooth on friday. and if you look closely, the tooth right next to the one that fell out is super loose and ready to come out too. she wrote such a cute note to the tooth fairy.

"i love you forever toothfairy. thank you for the wonderful money."

spring

i am loving the beautiful warm spring weather. today was gorgeous! the girls picked me a sweet bouquet of buttercups. they are growing all over our backyard.

love all the fresh fruit that is coming into season. limes were so cheap at the store this past weekend. i grabbed a whole bunch and plan on making this. my favorite.

simply wonderful....

having a nursing baby means lots of extra time for reading. just finished reading this book and i can't say enough good things about it. this is a beautifully written book that i know i will want to read again. highly recommend it.
