so thankful...

...that my little kyla is back home and ok. we had a bit of a scare yesterday evening. kyla was jumping off her bed trying to jump onto her daddy's back and fell. she landed really hard on her head. a few hours later she was complaining about a bad headache then she started vomiting. she wouldn't stop throwing up so we took her to the hospital. they ran some scans and monitored her overnight. she did have a concussion but the scans showed no damage. thankfully, she is ok. she had so much fun in the hospital. she got this cute stuffed animal giraffe and got to make beaded necklaces and color and watch lots of cartoons. hopefully we won't be taking any more trips to the hospital any time soon!

egg hunt

we had a wonderful easter weekend filled with family, food and lots of fun! on saturday we had our annual easter egg hunt at grammy and grandpa's house. the kids had a blast and got so much candy

6 weeks...

the little bug is 6 weeks old and is just the sweetest baby boy. he is now sleeping 6 hours straight through the night, which is so nice for me! it's amazing what a little bit of sleep can do for you!

tooth fairy

kyla lost her first tooth on friday. and if you look closely, the tooth right next to the one that fell out is super loose and ready to come out too. she wrote such a cute note to the tooth fairy.

"i love you forever toothfairy. thank you for the wonderful money."

spring

i am loving the beautiful warm spring weather. today was gorgeous! the girls picked me a sweet bouquet of buttercups. they are growing all over our backyard.

love all the fresh fruit that is coming into season. limes were so cheap at the store this past weekend. i grabbed a whole bunch and plan on making this. my favorite.

simply wonderful....

having a nursing baby means lots of extra time for reading. just finished reading this book and i can't say enough good things about it. this is a beautifully written book that i know i will want to read again. highly recommend it.

avery and evan

avery is such a good big sister. anytime she hears baby brother crying she runs over to him and says "i'll make him better." she is constantly covering him with kisses and loves holding him.

1 month

my baby boy is one month old today!

we are enjoing every second with him. hard to believe its already been a month!

just a couple from last week that i forgot to post.

weekend visitor....

uncle travis drove down from oklahoma to spend the weekend with us and he got to meet baby evan! dan and travis took the girls to the children's museum and out to eat at cici's pizza. they had a blast! we are excited to see uncle travis and the rest of his family this summer when they are in oklahoma again.

travis brought a big bag full of baby boy clothes from all the family in utah! thank you everyone! here's evan wearing the cute ducky outfit. he is now three weeks old!

three years old!

avery turned 3 on march 2nd, but since she was so sick this past week we decided to celebrate on saturday instead. we had a little family party with cake and icecream and presents. she was so excited to open presents! we love our sweet avery!

it's been a rough week adjusting to a new baby, but baby brother is just the cutest and makes it worth all the middle of the night feedings. i'm so thankful for a sweet husband who has helped me so much! and i don't know what i would do without my mom who took care of the girls while we were in the hospital and has been taking them during the day, and feeding us meals the past couple nights. she even made a birthday cake for avery. we love you mom!
