Thanksgiving in St. George!

For Thanksgiving, we drove up to St. George Utah and stayed at some condos with all of Dan's family. We had such a fun trip and loved exploring that part of Southern Utah. We spent some time at Zion National Park, Snow Canyon State Park, Pioneer Park and Thunder Junction Park. The older boys also had fun at the local skate park. Our kids don't get to see their Utah cousins very often so this was such a special time. Wish we lived closer to everyone! Here's just a few photos from our trip...

We only had a couple hours at Snow Canyon State Park, but could have easily spent a whole day exploring. The landscape and rock formations are breathtaking!

We loved Pioneer Park! The kids had a blast climbing all over the red rock formations and exploring. There are tons of little caves, a slot canyon and two little arches. There's also incredible views of the city.

We also went to a really nice city park with dinosaur playground equipment, train ride, and volcano that erupts every 15 minutes. So much fun for the kids! Basically like a small theme park and for free!

Zion National Park was so beautiful! Wish we would have had more time there. We took the shuttle bus through the park and got out at the last stop to hike to the entrance to the Narrows.

a few more photos of Zion National Park from my cell phone...

Such an amazing trip! Loved spending time with family and exploring beautiful southern Utah. We took the scenic route on the way home and stopped at Cliff Dwellers, and Navajo bridge which is located at the northeast portion of the Grand Canyon. The Colorado River flows under Navajo Bridge. Beautiful views!

Halloween 2019

It feels like October lasted all of two seconds and Halloween just snuck up on me! We never even had a chance to go to the pumpkin patch and carve pumpkins. I can't believe it went by so fast and now we are midway into November!

I was able to grab a few quick photos before the kids went out trick-or-treating. Benny dressed up as the red Power Ranger

Lorelei is obsessed with unicorns so of course wanted to dress up as one

Evan dressed up as an Astros player. He loves baseball and had so much fun watching the World Series. So sad our Houston Astros lost!

Avery dressed up as a 50's girl. (Kyla was too cool to dress up but still did a little trick-or-treating with friends.)

it's great to be 8!

October 19th was such a special day for Lorelei and her cousin Dahlia. They were both baptized by their daddies and confirmed a member of the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints. So happy they were able to share this special milestone together. They are the best of friends and only a week and a half apart in age. They looked so beautiful in their matching dresses!

sweet sixteen!

September is a busy month for birthdays in our family. Both Kyla and Benny were born in September, along with four other cousins! We originally made plans to celebrate Kyla's birthday in Galveston, but tropical storm Imelda ruined that. We had heavy rain, but luckily no flooding. This isn't the first time a hurricane/tropical storm has interrupted her birthday. Back in 2008, Hurricane Ike hit us the week of her birthday. Hopefully we'll get a break for the next few years. Happy sweet 16 to our sweet Kyla! We love you so much!

six years old!

My sweet Benny turned 6 in September. He was so excited for his birthday! Dan and I had lunch with him at school and we celebrated that weekend at Lone Star Bounce Town and Red Robin. We are so lucky to have Benny in our family! He is such a sweet, kind, funny little guy.
